I joined my local bicycle club and go on weekly club rides. Over the last 61 years I've accumulated various bicycles. I like to upgrade and modify them for various purposes and needs. I buy them with the idea of what they would be used for and by whom.
I bought this bike for my 61st birthday on Walmart.com for $498.00 US. Comes stock as a 2x7 14 speed dropper with brifters (brake/shifters) 700C x 40mm Kenda Kickback gravel tires that work decently well. The wheelset has QR, but threaded cassette so I've upgraded to some inexpensive BuckLOS 29" and put some American Classics UDDAN -- similar to the Kenda Kickbacks, but 42mm wide and Tubeless ready. These tires are good value for $35 each New In Box (NIB).
My 500w rear hub motor Bafang, fits nicely and still have 3-4 water bottle cages available after the controller and battery are mounted in the front triangle. There are front and rear braisons for racks. I have a rear rack battery on order and will free up the triangle for frame bags or water bottles and bike backing gear. This frame is the same as the Mongoose Elroy for sale on Amazon.com. I have the Elroy too! Check out he Elroy video soon to be uploaded .
The Grit is easily propelled to 24 mph with this setup and I do have the brake/motor cutoffs for the Bafang wiring. With all e-bikes, I recommend the brake cutoffs so you don't cut something else off!
