7/16/2025 Worm Wednesday Harvest and Feeding Vermihut Resetting The Tower

On today’s video I harvested the top vermihut tray, and reloaded it with fresh shredded cardboard and brown paper bags for the red wigglers bedding. I added more bedding to the feeding tray and feed strawberries, banana, corn on the cob, and a large cucumber. Everything was previously frozen and thawed. On top of the feeding, I covered with ground eggshells which is a grot for the worms. After I covered with castings I sprinkled some worm chow over top if the feeding zone.

💡 Worm composting tip: Always freeze your food scraps first and cover your feeding area with castings or bedding!

📦 This setup is the VermiHut Plus, but I also have other systems like totes, a 5-gallon bucket, and even a shoebox worm bin!
