Compagnie Pipototal (F) : Basculoscopia
Pipototal is the name of the internationally famous French street-musician-company, founded by the exceptionally talented and versatile performer Philippe Geffroy in 1989, and they are the experts of spectacular, monumental, difficult, dream-like structures and machines. They are coming to Sziget with their show Basculoscopia this year; bascoloscope is actually a 10 meter-tall structure made of metal, which in fact is a monumental, turning seesaw, serving as a tool for the artists to illustrate the circle of life.

The performance is basically built on actrobatics: they are relying on the genre of circus and of course the laws of physics (for example: centrifugal force) in order to present the powerful pictures an scenes. Besides the artists in the air, musicians play an important role in this project, too: the basculoscope itself and the performers using it are making noises, which are built in the performance of the musicians who all have special instruments set for the show, just to make the whole act even more exciting and unique.
