SRHR in Humanitarian Crises

Описание к видео SRHR in Humanitarian Crises

Many countries are facing humanitarian crises made more complex by COVID-19 and marked by a disruption of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Women and girls in crisis situations face increased risk of STIs including HIV, unwanted pregnancies, child rape and forced marriage, maternal death and illness, sexual and gender-based violence, all in the absence of strong systems that adequately respond to their urgent needs and help them cope with the aftermath. This panel brings together advocates, scholars, and practitioners from affected communities to discuss the challenges in prioritizing SRH in responses to humanitarian crises. The panel will also exchange lessons for more comprehensive responses that center the voices and needs of communities in crisis; meet urgent SRH needs while strengthening systems that enable redress and prevention of further harm.
