This video demonstrates basic forest monitoring techniques that professionals use when out in the field assessing forest health. This curriculum is part 1 of a three-part series that aims to educate k-5, middle school (6th-8th grade), and high school students about how forest health is monitored within the state of Vermont.

This work was made possible through a collaboration between the FEMC and students from the University of Vermont's NR206 - Environmental Problem Solving and Impact Assessment course.
