How to know the best workout plan for you

Not sure if your training program is well designed?

🙋🏻 When I first started training, I asked myself this question every week. I didn't know if what I was doing was going to work.

And I got really frustrated because I saw that the instructors I was “learning” from didn't know either. They just put exercises together, randomly said a number of sets and reps, and off they go!

👉🏻 Although it is a very broad topic, I bring you 5 points out that your training program is not the most appropriate.

1. If you train more than 10 sets a week per muscle group (if you're interested in maximizing muscle gain, you should), one day of training for each muscle is probably not enough.

2. At the start of a new program, your muscles are likely to be sore for several days. But if that soreness persists for several days over several weeks, you're probably training too hard and/or with too much volume.

3. Training volume (# of sets per week per muscle group) is one of the most important variables in training programming since it is known that up to a certain point, the more volume, the more muscle gain. It is important to know how many series you do to have as a reference in the future.

4. If you don't know how hard or how easy to train, how do you know if you're doing it right? Stay between 2-3 sets before muscle failure for most of the program. This is a good place to start to quantify your intensity.

5. Unless you are a VERY advanced person, it is very likely that you should not train for more than 2 hours a day. Most people will see the most progress training 1-1.5h per session training 4-5 times a week
