In this video, I talk about the importance of what is known as the 'natural language learning method'. A topic about which I have already spoken on the channel and for which I am certainly an advocate.

I discuss how using our passions and interests and then transferring this to our language learning habits allows us to learn words and structures without feeling like we are actively having to do all of the work.

This doesn't mean that traditional language learning methods are useless and don't bring anything to the table, I myself am a huge advocate of familiarising yourself with grammatical structures and concepts, but it needs to be done in harmony with a level of enjoyment and natural assimilation of the target language. If not, that is when the motivation tends to die for people and the learning becomes tedious and mentally challenging.
