The Foster's Garden Railroad: Scenes & Engineer's Cab Ride.

Located in a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood of Sioux Falls, SD, Merwin & Laura Foster have the only known Garden Railroad in Eastern South Dakota, and perhaps even the entire State. The garden is exquisite and well organized, and the trains chug through as if to admire the foliage. As if the Garden Railroad isn't enough by day, the entire layout is wired for lights! Every building, bridge, and street is lighted with prototypical lighting fixtures. There are also unique model surprises that you don't usually see on layouts like: oil wells, a hot air balloon, Tram, and Streetcar. This layout also boasts eight bridges, one tunnel, and five sidings off of the Main Line and two Short Lines. The buildings, towns, and canyon are all named after Merwin's family, giving this layout a very personal touch.
