First, make sure to remove the green skin from the watermelon rind and chop it into small pieces.

Next, boil the chopped rind in water for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft.

Once the rind is soft, drain the water and let it cool down.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar and water to make a syrup.
