Yesterday we talked about the survey that sadly says 85% of people going to work today hate their job. How about you?

I’m Gary Wilkerson with World Challenge.

So if you are listening today and don’t like your work, what are some steps you can take? Sure, you could quit your job and look for another, but let’s talk about today. Let’s start with what the Bible says about your work:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. - Colossians 3:23-24

So, it starts with our mindset, doesn’t it? “I’m stuck at a dead-end job” is a different mindset than, “How can I make this better?” Notice the verse speaks about ‘work heartily’ for the Lord…NOT FOR MEN. I think our focus gets caught on “the men” part…and not on “as for the Lord”.
