Drawing Labyrinths date back earlier than 2000BC in Egypt. The human brain loves to follow lines and see how they connect. This design is very fun to draw as a doodle. The video is sped up and shows hesitations at deciding points. Every time you draw one of these, it will be different.

I like to draw labyrinths in my mind's eye to fall asleep. Imagining the line coursing through the air holds my attention and takes my mind off of daily troubles. This design came to me during one of these exercises and actually woke me up...I immediately had to put it to paper to not forget it!

"Four Directions Moon" is in reverence to native culture 'crosses.' Unlike the Christian cross, the four directions is a way of navigating the world - think North/South, East/West... Here I'm drawing the line into layers of thick acrylic latex paint while it is still wet. It's like playing in the mud and is a special thrill to see how it emerges.
