This is one way to prevent overlapping frequencies of a Bass and Kick drum track by masking certain frequencies.
Cakewalk's "Pro-Channel" offers a module named "PC4K S-Type Bus Compressor" which is sidechain capable and may be a good choice for the issue at hand.

As @ongakunogakusei5722 had pointed out in comments, by default, there may be another Compressor already in the Pro-Channel.
That can be right-clicked at the top (on the word COMPRESS...), then there's a menu offering "Replace Module", where the "PC4K S-Type Bus Compressor" should be selectable.
