Here is the 9th video in my series on Kebi and her baby girl, born 7/19/23 at the Cleveland Zoo. (This video has NO music and was shot on 8-27-23) 95% of this video features Kebi and her baby. Kebi gets extra feedings daily so zookeepers can look at baby very closely. (FYI the baby gets 2 bottles fed to her each day.)
Kebi and baby are doing very well. They are bonding well, baby is feeding often, and the other members of the troop handling the arrival of the new baby well.

Kayembe was the first "zoo born" gorilla born at the Cleveland Zoo in it's 141-year history.
Now the zoo has a second "zoo born" baby gorilla.

Birthdates: Mokolo 7/10/87, Fredrika 6/5/74, Nneka 9/23/98, Kebi 1/13/91/ Tusa 12/2/89, Kayembe 10/26/21 and unnamed baby girl 7/19/23.

The Conservation status of the Western Lowland gorilla is “Critically Endangered”.
