Clara Schumann "Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann, Op. 20" - Brandon Hawksley

Hey, it's been a while! For those of you that are subscribed, I'm really sorry and appreciate you for still being here. It's been difficult times, but I'm hoping to make a small comeback here.

I figured sharing a recent performance would be a good way to break the silence. This is a livestream performance that took place on April 19th. I have been working on Clara Schumann's variations for my recital exam in a couple of weeks. It's an amazing piece, and is certainly a hidden gem when it comes to classical piano repertoire. The variations contain completely distinct qualities, with some being beautiful, slow and lyrical, whilst others are exciting, fiery and virtuosic in comparison.

This was the first time performing it (and performing in general!) in a real life setting for a very long time, so I was pretty nervous! Thankfully, it was ok, and I hope you enjoy it!
