Alice was interviewed in 2003 by longtime Detroit radio host Anne Carlini shortly after the release of his album The Eyes of Alice Cooper. The hometown favorite Cooper penned the song Detroit City which mentions several local rock and rap legends such as MC5, The Stooges, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, Eminem, ICP, Nugent, and others. They discuss the song, the current (2003) artists he appreciates, and in particular he praises Eminem's lyrical skills. The interview goes beyond that of course.

If you grew up in the Detroit area you already get the significance of Alice's history there. If you didn't, here is a glimpse.

Anne Carlini has been heard on various radio stations on the Detroit airwaves for decades. I will always associate her as part of The Home of Rock and Roll! WRIF.

The concert footage shown is from the 2021 Alice Cooper DVD that I own. It came with the Alice Cooper CD Detroit Stories. The CD+DVD is worth buying if not for the DVD alone. Why did I use this nearly unrelated footage? It's what I had and better than having a static image for 12 minutes. Enjoy.
