Описание к видео Solar Power Plant for AAC FActory

1 MW Solar Power Plant
as an add on to a
500 CBM per Day AAC Blocks Plant
A Report by Nandiki Gangadhar Reddy, Dongyue Group, India
[email protected], +918763966666

Preface
• A 500 CBM typical plant consumes 7 units per CBM Electricity. So per day energy requirement os 500x7=3500 Units
• A 1 MW Solar power plant has an optimal production of 3500 MW per day. So this power is decided.
• On Rainy , cloudy days and during night times, the Power generation is very low or Nil, thus we must have a on grid power source to run the AAC Plant in case there is low output of the solar power plant
• If our AAC plant makes less than 500 CBM production for lack of market demand or some other issues, the solar power should be sold to GRID. So we must have on grid system and a power sales agreement with Grid.

Financial outline
• Approximately 3,60,00,000/- INR investment
• Approximate 2.5 Acres of land
• Optimal electricity Generated = 3500 Units per day
• Units Generated per Month 3500x30=1,05,000 units
• Money saved per month = 1,05,000x6= Approximately 6,00,000 INR per month
• Interest subsidy and soft loans are available.
• Maintainance costs per Month = Rs 50,000/- per month
• Net Money saved = 5,50,000 INR per Month 550000x12=66,00,000 per year
• Payback period = 36000000/6600000=5.455 Approximately 5 and half years

Investment Models for 1 MW Solar Power Plant

When it comes to financing your solar power plant, there are two primary models:

1. CAPEX Model (Capital Expenditure Model)

• Description: In the CAPEX model, the business makes a one-time upfront investment to cover the full cost of the solar power plant. Once you pay for the installation, you gain complete ownership of the system and all the electricity it produces.
• Benefits:
• No Ongoing Payments: After the initial investment, the electricity generated by the plant is free for the next 25+ years, apart from minor maintenance costs.
• Long-Term Savings: Owning the system outright allows you to benefit from substantial energy savings over its operational life.
• Incentives: As the owner, you can take advantage of government subsidies, tax benefits, and policies that promote solar energy adoption, such as Accelerated Depreciation.
• Ideal For: Businesses with available capital who want full control over their solar asset and are interested in maximizing long-term savings.

2. OPEX or PPA Model (Operational Expenditure / Power Purchase Agreement Model)

• Description: The OPEX model, or Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), is a financing option where the business pays no upfront cost for the solar plant. Instead, a solar energy company installs, owns, and maintains the plant, and you only pay for the electricity generated.
• Key Points:
• No Upfront Investment: The solar company covers the entire installation cost.
• Lower Per-Unit Cost: You pay for the electricity you consume at a reduced per-unit rate, usually less than the grid tariff.
• Flexible Contract Terms: PPA contracts generally last 10–25 years. After the agreement ends, ownership might transfer to you, or the company may continue to maintain it.
• Alternative Financing: If you prefer to own the system but need financing, you can opt for a bank loan. This approach allows you to own the plant while spreading out payments over time.
• Ideal For: Businesses that want to minimize upfront costs, reduce electricity rates, and avoid the burden of ownership and maintenance.

Environmental and Sustainability Benefits

• Carbon Reduction: A 1 MW solar plant reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 1,500 tons annually, supporting corporate sustainability goals.
• Sustainable Energy Source: Solar reduces dependency on fossil fuels and supports global climate targets.
• Energy Independence: Businesses can reduce reliance on grid electricity, which is often subject to rate increases.

Government Incentives and Policies

The Indian government provides several policies to promote solar power:

• Subsidies and Grants: Central and state-level subsidies are available, especially for large-scale solar installations.
• Accelerated Depreciation: A tax benefit that allows businesses to reduce taxable income, making solar investment more attractive.
• Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO): Certain industries are required to source a percentage of their energy from renewable sources, promoting solar energy adoption.
