Various states and localities throughout the nation host off-year elections tomorrow. The polls say that the economy is in trouble, the president isn’t listening, and the Congress is inept.

A major electoral issue has emerged throughout the nation of importance to people and that is term limiting elected officials. Term limits is on the ballot in the state of Washington to limit the terms of current and future elected officials. Term limits movements is a grassroots movement spreading through the nation. These term limit movements ride a nationwide wave of voter disenchantment. Activist Sherry Bockwinkel is directing the term lift movement in Washington state. She asserts that government has become more expensive, scandals have become more common, and elected politicians are becoming millionaires at voter expense. '

In Pennsylvania voters will choose a new Senator in a special election to replace Republican John Heinz who died in a plane crash. The Republican candidate is Richard Thornburgh recently served as President Bush's Attorney General. Thornburgh has seen a 40 point lead in the polls evaporate to Democrat candidate Harris Wofford. Wofford is the sitting Senator who had been appointed to the seat upon Heinz's death by the Democrat Governor of Pennsylvania back in May. Wofford worked for JFK thirty years earlier and he blames Pennsylvania's recession on Bush and drapes Bush around Thronburgh’s neck. Both men are running against Washington as outsiders - a laughable concept - and Wofford is making national health care an issue. Neither candidate is charismatic.
