Fur Caddis Larva - Trout Fly Tying for Beginners

Описание к видео Fur Caddis Larva - Trout Fly Tying for Beginners

Fly tying instructions for a fur caddis larva nymph. Sometimes called a green rock worm, this pattern imitates the non-swimming, drifting caddis larva found in any water where caddis hatch. This easy-to-tie trout pattern was tied from Dave Hughes' 2018 edition of "Essential Trout Flies."

Hook: #12-16 curved
Bead: tungsten or brass to match hook size
Thread: Brown
Body: Olive or green fur, mixed with sparkle yarn or ice dub
Abdomen: Hare's mask or darker dubbing

Savage Flies is a project (named after one of my homewaters, the Savage River in Western Maryland, US). I've been trout fishing for many years but have only been tying for the last couple and am learning more every week. If you have any pointers on techniques that would help, I would love to hear them in the comments.
