Kargil witnesses heavy snowfall, struggle to keep roads open in Ladakh

In Ladakh, Kargil has witnessed heavy snowfall since last evening, and it has been a struggle to keep roads open. More than 6 inches of snowfall have now been recorded in the town. Municipal Committee is on high alert, deploying all available resources and machinery to combat the challenges posed by heavy snow. Clearing of snow has been underway since early morning. Residents and travellers are being urged to stay vigilant and stick to safety advisories in the challenging weather conditions.
