5. Professional People Pusher
Yes, this is for real. And use to happen in the New York Subway in the 1920s. These people pushers' are paid for literally shoving the passengers into trains to avoid delays. A practice still prevalent in Japan during peak hours, it is slowly spreading its wings in Shanghai, China. Many have reacted to this inhumane act and compared it to pushing sardines back into their cans! Ouch!

4. Rental Wedding Guests
A practice prevalent in Asian countries of South Korea and Japan, renting wedding guests is primarily done to save face among family and friends. Another reason is to merely show off. These weddings are nothing but elaborate productions with as many as 30 rental guests! What is more, this practice is slowly expanding with fiancées, boyfriends and even friends being available on rent.

3. Vomit Cleaner
This is just as awful as it sounds. This special janitor is responsible for cleaning up all the mess, sick people leave behind on stomach churning roller coasters. Imagine waiting for every ride to get over and then clean up after. The horrible smell filling up your nostrils every time you work! Well, Don't fill up on food the next time you anticipate a roller coaster ride. That is the least we can do for these poor souls!


2. Bike Fisherman
This is one heck of a job for fishing enthusiasts. Bike fishing is a huge industry in Amsterdam, so much so, that thousands of bikes end up in the bottom of the canals every year. These fisherman, fish out the bikes with a claw like hydraulic device attached to a crane. The bicycles are then recycled for parts. How did the bikes end up in the water, you ask! Well, we will never know but one can only assume that it has something to do with all the weed that’s consumed!

1. Garbage Detective
The Germans are known for their tough laws and strict police officers but did you know they have very strict laws regarding garbage disposal? For example, batteries must be disposed of in a certain way. But, here is where the interesting part comes in…. Germany actually has Garbage Detectives, (yep it’s actually a thing!) they go through your garbage to check for things that should not be there. They are pretty thorough too. They will examine your invoices, talk to neighbors and go as far as to rummage through your garbage cans to gather information!

The existence of these strange jobs just shows that man will go to any limit for survival. This, however, does not mean that the lucky few must take advantage and make their unfortunate lives even more difficult! It is our duty to respect those who clean up after us.
