About the american mountain men. The group researches and studied the history, traditions, tools, and mode of living of the trappers, exploreres, and traders known as mountain men. Watch history unfold. Discover how life was lived in the 1820s to 1840s. Talk with the mountain men in their camp of tents and tipis pitched throughout the museum campus, watch demonstrations of tomahawk throwing, musket shooting, fire starting, and so much more.
