Once upon a time, there lived a loyal and honest dog named Bruno in a small village. Bruno belonged to a poor farmer who loved him very much. Bruno was not only brave but also known for his honesty.
One day, the farmer gave Bruno a piece of bread and said,
“Guard the house while I am away.”
Bruno happily wagged his tail and sat near the door. While the farmer was gone, Bruno felt hungry. Just then, he saw a piece of meat lying near the road. It smelled delicious. Bruno thought about taking it, but then he said to himself,
“This meat does not belong to me. My master trusts me.”
So Bruno ignored the meat and returned to his place.
Later that day, a butcher came running and said,
“Has anyone seen my meat? I dropped it on the road.”
Bruno barked loudly and ran to the place where the meat was lying. The butcher was surprised and happy. He praised Bruno for his honesty and gave him a big bone as a reward.
When the farmer returned, the butcher told him everything. The farmer hugged Bruno and said,
“I am proud of you, my honest friend.”
From that day on, Bruno was loved and respected by everyone in the village.
Moral: Honesty is always rewarded.
