All #jehovahswitnesses have a publisher record card. if you move to another area, this will be forwarded to your new town. all preaching activity is recorded on this. you have the responsibility to report to the congregation each month. if you dont report for whatever reason, sanctions are imposed and your spirituality is measured as weak or even dead.

this policy is nothing more than a corporate control mechanism dreamed up by Rutherford. it has unintended consequences. people focus on things that 'count time' instead of being a heartfelt deed. it causes some good deeds to be neglected since the identifying mark of a JW is not love but rather their door to door work.
