Puncak Tanawan recently opened themselves to visitors last year. Basically it's located in Bagulo, Sibulan, just about a 30-minute drive from Dumaguete City.

From the log in shed, you have to hike for about 1 - 2 hours depending on how fast you hike. As for us cough physically fit cough it took us a little past 2 hours with a shirt full of sweat. You could also tap unto a 'habal-habal' driver to drive you up top but it's quite expensive -- from a perspective of a student.

Finally we got to arrive to the destination which was a mountain top, and the view was stunning. You get to see everything from there. I'm quite sure that clouds can hover the mountain top but during our visit, it didn't -- probably because it was already late (4PM). Was quite surprising that there weren't any much wind, which was the second reason why I wanted to go there (first one was to film). I wanted to feel the cold air blowing to my body and enjoying the atmosphere but nope. I'm guessing, again, that it was quite late. Would probably be a better visit if it was in the morning.

Overall, the view was great. The hike going there, wasn't that great. Was it worth it? Yes -- stay a little longer.
