📖 Plot Summary

After losing their 5-year-old daughter Mei in a tragic accident, Yoshie Suzuki and her husband Tadahiko’s world falls apart. In her grief, Yoshie stumbles upon a beautifully lifelike antique doll that resembles their daughter. She begins to treat the doll as if it is Mei reborn.

Time passes and the couple has a second daughter, Mai. Yoshie and Tadahiko put the doll aside, but once Mai turns five and begins playing with it, unsettling events start happening around the family. No matter how often they discard the doll, it keeps returning — and increasingly malevolent. As the supernatural threat grows, the family must uncover the doll’s secret and face a truth far darker than grief itself.
