Chasing Three Canadian National SD60s in Minnesota and Wisconsin -Rare daylight run on the Mpls Sub-

In a world where most class one trains are powered by modern EMD and GE power, Canadian National has a large fleet of EMD SD60s. These came second hand from the BNSF about ten years ago, and were once park of the Oakway lease fleet. Once that lease expired, these units found a new home on the CN.

In this video, we'll see three SD60s leading a very rare daylight run on the Minneapolis Sub. This train typically runs at night, and makes its way into the Twin Cities in the early morning hours. Additionally, it typically only rates two units, so seeing three is a treat. Starting off in Wheeler, WI the three 60s are seen screaming through the hills and curves of this former Soo Line route. After this, we'll see them racing past Downing Jct, and pulling into New Richmond by Lake Mary. Lastly, after getting a new crew (L517 then became L506), the train is seen roaring up the grade at Cardigan Jct as it approaches New Brighton.
