Psiloritis Peak (2456m) | The Path from Nida | Hiking Crete

Timios Stavros is the highest peak in the island of Crete, standing 2456 meters high, on Psiloritis Mountain. There are 3 main trails that reach this summit. The most famous and the easiest starts from Lakos of Mygerou. There is also a path that starts from the southwestern slopes of the mountain near Fourfouras Village. And finally the path we take today.
We start from Nida Plateu and we hike about 9,5 km and gaining slightly more than 1000 meters in altitude. The scenery during the hike is beautiful and wen one reaches the peak the view is rewarding.
