The complex housed 22 shops, and as of 2 PM — demolition work was still underway. Before the demolition began, shopkeepers sat outside their shops in protest. Many broke down in tears. Some even said — “End us along with our shops.”
According to reports, the administration reached the spot around 11:30 AM. Soon, locals gathered around, and the crowd began to swell. To control the situation, police barricaded the area, deployed PAC personnel, and the ATS monitored the entire operation using drones.
