Tragedy struck the serene villages of Mundakkai and Chooralmala in Kerala's Western Ghats on July 30th. A catastrophic landslide in the early hours of the morning turned idyllic landscapes into scenes of unimaginable destruction. Over 210 lives were lost, around 500 injured, and nearly 300 are still missing. As rescue operations continue, the heart-wrenching stories of survivors and the heroic efforts of first responders reveal the magnitude of this disaster.
