Stand Up for Nero with Natalie Haynes

Описание к видео Stand Up for Nero with Natalie Haynes

Watch Natalie Haynes, Emma Southon and Llewelyn Morgan in this special comedy event that took place live at the British Museum on 2 September 2021, where they discussed all things Nero.

Nero was the last rule of the Julio-Claudian dynasty and is the subject of the Museum's exhibition Nero: the man behind the myth (27 May - 24 Oct 2021). From succeeding to the throne at the age of 16 in AD 54 to his violent death at 30 in AD 68, this conversation covered all the things that have contributed to Nero being considered one of Rome's most infamous rulers, with laughs along the way.

Acclaimed writer, classicist, broadcaster and comedian Natalie Haynes was joined by Dr Emma Southon and Professor Llewelyn Morgan. Southon is author of a biography of Agrippina the Younger and co-hosts a history/comedy podcast called History is Sexy. Morgan, an author, classicist and Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford, has been a regular guest on Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics on BBC Radio 4.
