Runaway Train started with an email that Jasmine Fouts sent to Marcus Brothwell in 2015 saying " I wrote some lyrics - what do you think?”

Many emails, discussions, production / recording sessions, and song iterations later we were finally done with the bulk of the song. Was it 2018? 2019? Um…we dunno. But we DID know it was missing one crucial thing. And what was that thing? Jordon Ellis playing drums, duh! Jasmine wasn’t there for the session, and Marcus doesn’t remember exactly, but both generally recall that Jordon nailed it on the first try, which will surprise no-one who knew him or saw him play.

We've been sitting on this gem for a while, but in light of Jordon's passing we want Runaway Train to be out there now. For Jasmine, this is the only studio recording she has with Jordon playing alongside her. (Listen for the crash cymbal at the start of the first couple verses; it's her favorite part of his drum track.)

We hope you like it. And most importantly, thank you, Jordon, for always being down to play. We miss and love you so very much.
