With how light the rear ends are on Tacomas, it's beneficial to add weight to the bed. That is why I have a full size spare in the bed of my truck!

When I initially installed my spare tire strap five years ago, I installed it against the cab. Ideally you want the added weight as far toward the rear as possible.

With the installation of the new spare tire strap, I'm able to move the spare further back and give it a fresh new look!
