प्रोबोसिस मंकी - Proboscis Monkey - क्या आपको पता है, इंडोनेशिया के जंगलों में पाया जाना वाला यह बंदर देखने में इंसानों का असली पूर्वज लगता है। इसके बाद भी इसे बचाने के लिए कोई भी प्रयास नहीं किया गया। जिसके कारण अब ये बंदर दुनिया से खत्म होने की कगार पर हैं।

जुगनु - Firefly - आपने अपने जीवनकाल में कभी न कभी जुगनू को तो देखा ही होगा, लेकिन क्या आपने कभी ध्यान दिया कि अब हमें जुगनू क्यों दिखाई नहीं देते हैं। जुगनू जो रात के समय लाईट की तरह टिमटिमाते हुए नजर आते हैं। ये भी दुनिया से तेजी के साथ गायब होते जा रहे हैं। इनके गायब होने के पीछे का कारण भी हम महान इंसान ही हैं। कीटनाशकों के अधिक प्रयोग और अत्याधिक प्रकाश प्रदूषण के कारण प्रकृति की यह लाईट आज हमेशा के लिए बुझने की कगार पर पहुँच चुकी है।

इसी तरह के हजारों जानवर आज विलुप्त होने की कगार पर पहुँच चुके हैं। और इसका कारण भी सिर्फ और सिर्फ इंसान ही हैं। इन जीवों का अवैध रूप से शिकार कर लिया जाता है। इन जानवरों को बचाने की कोशिश तो की जाती है लेकिन वो कोशिश पूरी नहीं की जाती है।
