Upgrading Acura/Honda hard drive GPS Navigation

I thought I make a video on my experience upgrading the Acura Hard Drive Navigation. This one I'm showing is on my 2014 Acura TL. Probably works for at least 2012-2014 but it maybe also work on the earlier models. Please post comment below if it works the same way pre-2012.

This is maybe similar to other Acura/Honda NAVI products. This version doesn't have a DVD player under the seat or trunk so you will need to put the DVD into the cd audio player for it to upgrade.

It took me approximately 2hrs to upgrade and the purple edition for my DVD has 2 DVDs. The first DVD is on the application whereas the 2nd DVD is on the maps.

The DVDs come with a license key linked to your Device ID. Each Device ID is unique to your vehicle. You will need to install the license key after the application has been loaded onto the vehicle.

I wouldn't suggest everyone upgrade the DVD every year but maybe every 2-3 years is a better idea so you get the new maps and points of interest.
