Instagram used to have a dedicated “Following Activity” tab that showed exactly what posts and reels your friends liked, but that feature was removed years ago to improve user privacy. Because of this, there is no way to see a complete list of every reel your friends have liked. Instagram considers likes private activity, so they’re not openly displayed on someone’s profile or in a searchable list.

However, Instagram still shows limited information through your feed and the Reels tab. When you scroll through reels, you may occasionally see a small bubble or text under the reel that says a friend has liked it. For example, you might notice “Liked by \[friend’s name]” or “Liked by \[friend’s name] and others.” This doesn’t show you everything they’ve liked, but it does highlight specific reels that overlap with your friends’ interactions.

If you keep scrolling through the Reels section or Explore tab, you’ll likely find more reels that your friends have liked. Instagram’s algorithm sometimes uses these likes as a signal to recommend content to you, which is why they appear in your feed. This means you can discover some of the reels your friends enjoy, but only the ones Instagram chooses to display.

Since there’s no official feature to view all liked reels, the only direct way to know more is if your friends share reels with you or if they’ve made their activity visible by commenting or reposting. Otherwise, you’ll only see the suggested overlap that Instagram surfaces in your feed.
