SEASON ONE SYNOPSIS
Ever wondered about your parents' #sex life? Neither did Molly and Elle until #ComingOut and #divorce forced them to learn about their parents' new #sexcapades . After a lifetime of #dating men, Molly (31, a grade eight teacher) surprises herself when she falls in love with a woman for the first time. When she finds the courage to come out as #bisexual to her suburban parents, they empathetically reveal their own admission - they're #swingers and throw #sexparties . Meanwhile, Elle (33, a creative director) is reeling after learning her parents are divorcing and her mother, who also happens to be her boss, had an affair with a dude young enough to be Elle's brother. To avoid the wrenching pain of her exploded family unit, Elle wages revenge in an eye-for- an-eye corporate takeover against her mother. When Molly gets dumped, she reluctantly heeds dating advice from her sexually blossoming parents and clumsily embarks on the bisexual dating world while navigating her broken heart. As life as they knew it crumbles away and their love lives and careers become precarious, it's their codependent friendship that takes all the heat. Finally, when the pressure cooker blows, they are shocked to realize that the nuts haven't fallen so far from the family tree.

Molly is back in Toronto with bad hair and undiagnosed #adenomyosis. After a #miscarriage, Elle leaves her company and assistant Jordan ... to join a #cult. A #dramedy where millennials try to navigate their way into the fulfilled lives their boomer parents always wanted for them.

At the end of season one of #AvocadoToasttheseries, Molly and Elle’s friendship is left hanging in question. In season two,  Molly is back with a brand new haircut (more ‘yikes’ than ‘yes!'). After getting diagnosed with #adenomyosis, she must learn to let go of her heartbreaking past in order to receive the support she needs. Meanwhile, Elle is spending her fourth month at what was supposed to be a week-long mental health retreat. Spoiler alert: it’s maybe, kind of, sort of… A CULT!? Elle had temporarily left her new company to her assistant, Jordan, to find a healthier life-balance. The ambitious Jordan is living his best life as interim creative director - that is until he needs to retrieve the elusive Elle for a high-stakes client. Molly tries to reconnect with Elle, but Elle has fallen under the spell of the oppressive ‘Community’. As Molly and Elle continue down opposite paths, a #bffbreakup seems imminent … until  an operating room finally brings them back together, in a new and fulfilled way.
