*Counselors are called to put so much of themselves into their work. This can lead someone to develop fatigue and burnout. This presentation aims to help counselors find resources to battle fatigue and burnout personally and professionally.

11:30 am - 12:00 pm - Hot Topics: Counseling LGBTQIA students through the college admissions process
*This session equips high school counselors with the knowledge and resources to better support LGBTQIA+ students as they navigate the college admission process. Participants will explore strategies for creating an inclusive and affirming advising environment, learn about LGBTQIA+- friendly college resources, and discuss how to address students’ unique concerns regarding campus climate, housing, and identity disclosure. Attendees will leave with actionable guidance to foster a safe, supportive, and equitable college admission experience for LGBTQIA+ students.
