The parliamentary audit of government agencies has been normalized,... with the main opposition Liberty Korea Party calling an end to its boycott.
Last week,... the party stopped parliamentary activities... in protest of the appointment of pro-government figures to the Foundation of Broadcast Culture -- the largest shareholder of public broadcaster MBC.
It claimed the government was trying to control the broadcaster.
The suspension of the boycott comes as the audit period nears an end,... and there's a bunch of key itinerary scheduled -- including President Moon Jae-in's policy speech at the National Assembly on Wednesday,... as well as U.S. President Donald Trump's address there next week.
With that, twelve parliamentary committees are carrying on with inspections,... with eight of them holding their final sessions.
A range of issues are expected to be covered on Monday,... from measures to curb household debt,... tax hikes proposal,... North Korea issues,... and preparations for upcoming summit talks between Moon and Trump.
