- Sergei Korolev was in USSR's concentration camp but he got the chance to be an engineer for USSR to compete with U.S.A.

- in 1957, Soviet launched of sputnik 1 and sent the first creature to the space. it's a dog name Laika.

- 1959, Soviet launched of Luna 3 to take pictures of the moon.

- 1961, Soviet sent the first human to the space. (He is Yuri Gagarin.)

- 1969, Mission to the moon was complete by U.S.A. They launched of Apollo 11 with 3 crews to the moon and pin America's flag on it.
