On November 1st, France faced a catastrophic natural disasters when Storm Ciaran, the most severe in two decades, struck.
This natural disasters unleashed 10-meter high waves on the Manche coast, causing extensive damage.
The storm, a relentless natural disasters, brought fierce winds at 200 km/h, toppling ancient trees and demolishing houses.
This natural disasters further intensified with 60 mm of rainfall, leading to floods in 54 regions, particularly in the northwestern provinces already saturated from continuous rain.
This natural disasters showcased its full might with hail and flash floods in many areas.
Amid this natural disasters, a tragic incident occurred northeast of Paris where a truck driver perished under a fallen tree.
The natural disasters also led to power outages for 1.2 million households.
In response, the power company planned to deploy 3,000 workers post-storm.
The transportation sector, too, felt the brunt of this natural disasters. Train services were canceled in five regions, and high-speed trains from Paris limited stops.
Additionally, many flights were canceled due to high winds. Local authorities, acknowledging the severity of this natural disasters, advised residents to work from home and avoid travel into the city before 9 a.m. on November 2nd.
