Chana Mahani (Himachal Chane ka Khatta). This Kangra Dham special is called Mahani and is actually made with Kala chana and served with a palak pakoda dunked in chana gravy, a very unique and unusual

combination if I must say so. Some versions of this recipe are also served without the pakoda and that's usually called 'Chane ka Khatta'. Thank you to all my Himachali followers for suggesting this delightful recipe and for reminding me as to how beautiful it is. Last time I tried this was with the caretaker of Kangra fort and it was a very very special meal.
