He never could have prepared himself for the foulness he was diving into. Imrin was playing a character in Path of Exile, in Wraeclast, but he himself was also a character in exile. His comrades turned on him at every opportunity and eventually was left cold and alone on the shore in Act 1, "Cruel" difficulty with a terrible build on a hard-to-play class. "You're bad at games," they told him. It wasn't the apparently fragile but actually impossibly hard decaying zombies which inevitably slayed him, but the harsh words of the people he called his friends.
