Note that there are a number of salts (electrolytes) found on Cooper’s tie. They include not only table salt, (sodium chloride), but also calcium chloride, potassium chloride, and bismuth chloride.

Note that Joe Lakich worked for the electronics company IEI in the 1960’s and later Nashville Electronics in the early 1970’s.

I have included as background music the song “Is That What Everybody Wants”, by Cliff Martinez. I own no rights or title to this music. However, this music is from the 2002 movie “Solaris”, which I found to be an intense, emotional drama. I thought it to be a good fit, as the D. B. Cooper hijacking was a highly-charged, emotionally-driven event.
