APN Setting Optus Huawei E5573 Works with All Sims - NO Unlock Needed

This modem is factory unlocked from Optus although has Optus logo. It means you can use this modem with any sim cards without unlock needed.
But mobile broadband devices are not fully plug and play. Usually they will only work with major carriers' sim automatically without setting needed.
But for some small dealers, you need to set APN (Access Point Name) before use. Or it will refuse to connect.
So if your sim is from a small dealer and it doesn't work straight away after turn on the modem, please do APN setting according to this video.
Setting Instruction:
1. Connect to the modem via WiFi. Wifi key on backcover of the modem
2. Open a browser and go to address "192.168.8.1"
3. log in using username password 'admin' 'admin'
4. Click "settings' tab on top, then 'dial up' on left, then 'profile management'
Choose the APN for your sim from Profile name drop down list and click 'save'
If can't find needed APN in APN list, go to next step
5. Click 'new profile', fill in any word as 'profile name'.
6. Fill in apn of your carrier in field of APN
7. Click 'save' button. You modem is ready for surfing
If the one you set is not the default APN, click 'profile name' on top, choose the one you set and click apply

Trouble Shooting

If you still can't make it work after setting above, please do trouble shooting as below:
1. Use standard size in this modem only. Don't use smaller size sim or smaller sim in an adaptor. It may not touch well and may even stuck in and damage sim slot.
2. Insert the sim in the right direction - reference graphic beside sim slot.
3. Make sure use the right APN and no typo of the APN you input.
4. Make sure your sim card was activated by yourself already/has enough credits/still valid
