Analyze My Orienteering #68 - SEEOC 2024 Relay - Bergama, Turkey (2024-08-31)

'Analyze my orienteering' is a series of headcam orienteering movies made by Ivan Sirakov where you can analyze, comment and help him become better in sports. The other aim of the project is to make Orienteering more popular all around.

This 68th episode of the series is from the Relay of South East European Orienteering Championships (Balkan champs) 2024 in Bergama, Turkey. I ran the 2nd leg for the Bulgarian team in M21. I started fine although I had to make a few stops towards the long 1st control but all went well. Towards the 5th control I stopped to show where we are and then towards 6th I did it once again. I was thinking about the performance of our teammates as a coach and tried to be in favour which is actually so stupid. In the end I fucked up my race with these side thoughts. I messed up the terrain and direction towards 6th in a very open area and then I was even more out of control to 7th. Very wrong direction and not thinking when I saw something is wrong made me loose a lot. Afterwards I got back to the race and pushed hard.
