I'm incredibly happy that the fabulous Dr. Clare ME Mulley will talk to me about the mysterious section of dwarves at the start of Voluspå, perhaps even reading some of her own retranslation of the texts. Dr Mulley is a poet, performance archaeologist, and expert in old norse literature and mythology at the University of Oxford. She is currently exploring how to perform Norse poetry for a modern audience, and re-imagining or re-translating the poetry of Voluspå, the epic poem of the Norse cosmos from genesis to Ragnarok.

While we talk loosely about the start of Voluspå, and especially the strange part listing the names of dwarves, I will be trying to draw my vision of these dark primordial creatures whose vague presence in the myths is often crucial.
