The weekends just got even better with Gamer Mode, a brand new show on all things gaming, starting this weekend on Saturday at 11.35am and Sunday at 12.25pm on RTÉ2.

It's a brand new eight-part TV series from RTÉ and Roundstone Media that will take you inside the exciting world of gaming. There will be reviews, Gamer Battles, Ireland's Favourite Gaming Picks as well as interviews with some top YouTubers and even the people who make the games as their job.

It's by kids for kids with your hosts Max, Nevan, Éabha & Millie and Séafra who is looking after the Streamers' Corner. It’s going to be a really fun, inclusive show for all the family. Even the grown-ups might learn something and take on the kids at home!!

There are a LOAD of great special guests like rapper Ste Brown, TikTok superstar Bonnie Rose, Magician Aidan McCann, Young Offender's actress Demi Isaac Oviawe, rugby star Sene Naoupu plus Múinteoir Ray, Niamh Shaw and MC who will you know from After School Hub.

Gamer Mode hosts gaming chats with legendary gaming icons such as John and Brenda Romero, as well as a special feature on Irish game companies and Irish eSports Players.

Coming up this weekend...

In the very first show on Saturday Nevan battles it out with Dr Niamh Shaw. Gaming icon Brenda Romero answers some ultimate questions on video games. Séafra talks about how to become a YouTube pro with BigBst4tz2. The Big Review looks at 'Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix'. While My Gaming Pick looks at 'Minecraft'.

Then on Sunday we ask will it be Lusk or The Noggin? Ste Brown AKA, The Noggin Rapper, battles it out with Nevan in Rocket League. The team behind Extra Credit give their YouTube secrets to Séafra in the Streamers' Corner. Louise Daly from Irish games company Black Shamrock talks about the language of coding, and in The Big Review it’s 'Mario 3D All-Stars’. This episode’s My Gaming Pick is ‘Roblox’.
