This video covers most of Topic 4.5 in the IB Physics Syllabus. This is relevant for both SL and HL students. It covers how standing waves are created by the superposition of standing waves, the differences between standing waves and travelling waves. The boundary conditions for the reflections are also covered. The diagrams and derivations of the harmonics in strings and pipes are given using guitars, clarinets and flutes as examples. There are 3 MC examples at the end.
