Fun back to back ride on my buddy Greg's 2022 Honda CRF250F and my 2022 Honda CRF250R on a short woods loop.

The CRF250F (MSRP $4749) is a fun trail bike with a fuel injected air cooled 4-stroke engine that runs clean with no stalling or hesitation and almost no vibration. The power is smooth (great for beginner riders) and the exhaust note is quiet. The suspension is very plush and works well for slower paced trail riding but quickly uses up all of it's 8.5" of travel as speed increases. The seat to footpegs to handlebar ergonomics feel modern with a thin overall feet. The disc brakes offer decent stopping power with good modulation. Excellent front end steering feel and smooth vibration free power were my favorite characteristics of the '22 CRF250F. The weight (265 lbs full of gas) was my least favorite part of the bike - not sure why this bike weighs so much. Lap time around the woods loop: 2:49

The 2022 Honda CRF250R sets the bar for "Fun to Ride" 250F moto bikes with an almost 125 2-stroke like agility and lightweight handling feel. The '22 CRF250R engine finally has decent low to mid power with good top end pull too. The biggest weakness on the CRF250R is the firm damping in the forks, especially noticeable on the choppy sections of trail on this short woods loop. Lap time for the '22 CRF250R on this loop was 2:35.

Fun to ride (2) Honda 250 4-strokes off road bikes back to back! The 2022 CRF250F exceeded my expectations with impressive front end turning feel and modern ergonomics. The '22 CRF250R is just plain fun to ride with quick and agile handling and a responsive engine. Ride Red!
