This is a Comparative Study on the characteristic style of filmmakers through an exploration of class struggle in Parasite and Gosford Park.

Film Students in the IB programme are required to carry out research into a chosen area of film focus, identifying and comparing two films from within that area and presenting their discoveries as a recorded multimedia comparative study.

This piece of work was my attempt at making a comparison between the two films that outline class disparity meticulously through cinematic elements. This work feels raw because it was mostly done over the course of a few weeks, and finalised overnight because of tight deadlines, and was my first attempt at making an audiovisual of this kind, so excuse the roughly done subtitles and editing.

Furthermore, besides the fact that I simply wanted to put this work out there for the amount of effort put into it, and because of the insight it gives for I learnt so much from it myself, I also think it'd be helpful to the IB students after me, considering that IB film is stressful, and IB film in middle of the pandemic is worse, and tremendously difficult.

I scored 28/30 marks and an overall 7/7 grade for this component of film, so I hope my work helps anyone looking into a similar project!
